Well, she's 25 now, and now she has access to all of those donations that were put in a trust fund for her, totaling $800,000.
Strangers donated money to Baby Jessica who, by the way, is now a 25 year old mother to 2 children. As the world watched, the tiny baby fell and became trapped. The amazing Jessica, alone and trapped underground, was actually singing Winnie the Pooh!
Although the grown Jessica has no memory of her scary ordeal, she still has a scar on her nose and she lost a toe because it was gangrenous.
After 15 operations and the many years that have gone by, Jessica was struggling to make ends meet, just like the rest of us. The payoff is well deserved and it's nice to have a tragic story turn into a happy ending for a change.
