Taylor will also be remembered for her humanitarian work.
In the height of her acting career, Liz Taylor was known as one of the most beautiful women on the planet. Many claimed that she had violet eyes. Taylor was married twice to actor Richard Burton. Burton was said to be smitten with Elizabeth Taylor, and their romance was very intense and also very public, and it provided
ample fuel to power the paparazzi. Despite Burton's philandering, he truly loved and adored Liz Taylor, and the fire of their Hollywood romance has not yet been matched.
Elizabeth Taylor founded the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, and was a catalyst for the formation of American Foundation for AIDS Research. Liz was an advocate for AIDS research even when others were afraid to get on board.
Liz was battling heart issues for many years and was finally hospitalized in February of this year for Congestive Heart Failure. When Taylor died she was surrounded by family.
