Beastie Boys - Still Hard Hittin' in 2011 04-07-2011 - by DJ Sic, Staff Mumbler The Beastie Boys have done it again y'all. After years of dropping the beats that can be heard at parties to this day, they've still got
mad hits. Believe it or not, these guys have had hits since the 1970's, although their format has changed slightly since their days as a
hardcore punk band. Folks may be a little confused about the new album title, however.
According the the
Beastie Boys Facebook page,
"ALTHOUGH WE REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT 'HOT SAUCE COMMITTEE PART 1' WILL CONTINUE TO BE DELAYED INDEFINITELY, 'HOT SAUCE COMMITTEE PART 2'
WILL BE RELEASED ON TIME AS ORIGINALLY PLANNED IN SPRING OF 2011." Say what? Part 2 released before part one? Are you confused? It has to
make sense to somebody, somewhere.
If you're lucky enough to hear some of the new album before May, you won't be disappointed. The old school style, complete with scratchin',
is nothing short of amazing. In the first 20 seconds of hearing, "Make Some Noise", I knew that I'd want to turn it up loud and start movin'.
But don't just take my word for it. Give the youtube clip (below) a listen. I'm pretty sure you'll feel the same way.
And why do I think so? Besides my obvious bias as a Beastie Boys fan, you can see it in the youtube comment section:
