Madonna Still Kicking and Ready With a New Album Announcement.

Will wonders never cease? I mean, I certainly didn't think the Material Girl had anything left in her. Musically anyway. The again her 2008 album "Hard Candy" was a bit successful.

By a bit successful I mean it debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard 200 and sold 3.8 million copies worldwide. I guess she did have something left in her after all.

All joking aside a new album is in the works. Madonna has also gone on the record with the claim.

In an interview with Swedish Sveriges Television Madonna stated "I've started a little bit of work in the studio." Huffington Post states that she followed up the quote. She added that she plans to return to New York and work on it through the end of the year.

According to the singer the first single is due to air sometime during February or March. The album itself is due for Spring 2012. Well if even Madonna believes we will be here still I suppose no one has a right to say other wise.

As for right now though she's focusing on making her directorial debut. The film called "W.E." is a film which tells the story of would-be King of England Prince Edward and Wallis Simpson. Simpson being an American divorcee for whom he gave up his chance at the throne.

The critics at the Venice Film Festival weren't so courteous to the film to say the least. In the end though critics can't be counted on too much so I suppose we shall see when the film is released.
