Brittney Spears and Joe Jonas May Possibly Have A Duet Together?

Chances are you know of the infamous Brittney Spears (on her what 5th comeback now?) and the young and semi-fresh Joe Jonas. Did you even think they would actually cross paths and do a song together though? I'm going to be honest and say that I didn't.

For the European leg of Spears' Fall Femme Fatale tour it seems that Mr. Jonas will be opening for her. An unexpected pairing, but not necessarily surprising. Back before the drugs, Brittney was very profitable and popular. She still is, but the jokes about her head shaving will not die too soon. Mr. Jonas is also quite popular and profitable so this is a good match. The marketers made an excellent decision with this one.

Well he's opening for her, but will that mean they will get into a studio and record something together?

Nothing is set in stone yet, but young Mr. Jonas is hopeful and open to the idea. As he told Marc Malkin of E! "I would be honored." Basically if the song is right and the idea is right he's all for it.

No word from Ms. Spears, but if she wants her career to keep going she'd be wise to go through with it. After all the old marketing ploys they used with her back in the day won't work anymore. When she was quite young still it was the "girl next door" ploy. When she got older and knew how to use her body they went for the "sex sells" ploy.

Interestingly enough both these artists, despite being quite a few years apart in age, both stemmed from the same place essentially: Disney. Spears came from the Mickey Mouse Club, just like Justin Timberlake, and Christina Aguilera. While Mr. Jonas is one of the more recent stars emerging from Disney, specifically Disney Channel. Although up until recently his career was tied with his brothers, but he has since gone solo.

Well there's no confirmation on the teaming up, but as stated before Mr. Jonas is optimistic. "It would be so cool. I think our music would work well together with what I've doing and what she's been doing for so long."

If this does come to be I suppose I hope the best for them. I may not listen to their music, but I will not shoot down people who actually try to make real music nowadays. In this time of talking about sex,drugs, alcohol abuse, spousal abuse etc. with rhythm accompaniment Pop is quite welcome. Pop may seem like it barely counts as music, but hey if listened to in short intervals and it actually has vocals and rhythm, I'll give it a chance at least.
